Speaker: Tomohiko Adachi, Senior Principal Engineer, MAZDA Motor Co.
Bio:Tomohiko Adachi joined Mazda Motor Corp. as a research engineer in April 1990 after graduation from Kobe University with a Master’s degree in System Engineering. With rich experience in the research of Advanced Safety Vehicles, Adachi started working in the Department of Chassis Dynamics Development in 2004, during which he led the development of chassis control and brake system technologies, also being appointed to Manager of the Department in 2009.
Starting in 2015, Adachi serves as the Senior Principle Engineer of the Integrated Control System Development Division, responsible for driving the strategy of model based development. He aims to combine vehicles, industries, and communities into the model with the SURAWASE2.0 project. Very passionate in reforming the development of vehicles with models, he is currently interested in the cross-departmental collaboration from design to production, managing data and models, and finally changing the minds of vehicle development department. In Oct. 2018 he is double as MBD advisor of EV C.A Spirit corporation founded for Electric vehicle design. In addition from this April, he is triple as an invited professor of MBD laboratory in Hiroshima University.
